Banjo bolt torque spec ???
I am sorry to ask but I need to know what the torque spec is for the banjo bolts on the front and rear of the heads ? I had the info about a week ago and didn't write it down. And now I don't remember where I found it !!
I don't want to break the bolt or NOT torque it enough.
I just finished banjo bolt mod and oil rail plugs. That way when I do the fuel bowl and fxr it will already be done. I posted a pic in my garage of the banjo bolt mod. I only drilled out the top hole in fear of making the bolt weaker. I also drilled the center of bolt 1/4 hole a little deeper 0.40 since once I drilled the 7/32 hole I was into the metal at the flange of bolt.I have seen where guys drilled them out to 1/4 and I think that is too much considering the metal the bolt is made of. And it only cost $14 and I feel better knowing all o rings on the back of the motor have been replaced.
The oring set up is not good that is another reason why I like Dennis/Strickly his banjo bolts he uses medal washers instead of orings that and SS and bigger ports would make his would flow well. I know what I did won't make any differents but it is still better than the factory.
Please help I need torque specs ?

Thanks Ken I was wondering where you got that info ? The reason I ask is I was digging around and found info on Swamps/ Under installing injectors and they say Fuel Rail End Plugs 97in/lbs. So now I have conflicting info?

97 in-lbs for stock banjo bolts. I found this torque listed in more than a few injector replacement guides.
Here are some of the common torque specs for the bolts/plugs on cylinder heads.
Torque Specs:
Injector Hold-Down Bolts: .....120 in/lbs
Fuel Rail End Plugs: ................. 97 in/lb
Glow Plugs:...............................14 ft/lb
Oil Rail Plugs (side):..................53 in/lb
Oil Rail End Plugs:.....................60 ft/lb
Valve Cover Bolts:....................97 in/lb

Thanks Ken I wish I would have had the money for that set up by Strickly.
Thanks for your input too Roland. I am going to go with the 97in/lbs and actually I'm going to start with 85in/lbs and see how it feels since I feel I might have weaken the bolt alittle by drilling it out.
Thanks guys
