I just did a deal with a gentleman from Ireland. Sold him 2 front fenders off a 55 and a tailgate. I asked him about his project back home and he informed me that the items purchased were going to be decorating his garage walls until he could find a project and have it shipped over. Something warms the heart about seeing the old American iron making their ways across the ocean.

I wish you the best on your project and applaud the extra efforts it takes to make these restores possible overseas. Good luck!

Welcome!!!!

I also have a 1953 in the exact same condition as you. it has a 302 thats sure seen better days. Planning to replace with another 302 this year.

the paint look sick just as is! I really want to go for the Patina look, but it's quite costly as i don't have my own garage, so I'm probably going for a single stage of satin with a shot or two clear until i figure out what the real plan is.

I'm also looking to do disc up front for safety, I've seen complete kits with boosters for about 550.00. let me know if you find a cheaper one anywhere else.

Here's mine

Drop me a PM sometime

Michael

Bruce, great to catch up over the last few days. Your wife makes an exceptional brew! Love the look of your truck, very jealous of your grill and your garage set up,just the place to make some stunning progress!
Any further joy with the engine numbers?

Hi Tom , was good that you came over, im jealous of how you managed to get a truck like yours, have not found any more numbers but been through the fe forum and will be doing a few of the suggestions its either a 352 or 390 , just seems daft that cannot be identified without dismantling. Will be out there tomorrow seeing what i can discover.
(and e the mog mate says above his ceiling at the moment)
