Driving myself crazy so help me decide.

I bought a set of used aluminum wheels a few months ago that I was planning on installing on my truck in the Spring. I need new tires (because the ones on the truck currently are dry-rotted) so I figured I would mount them on the new wheels. Last week I pulled the truck out and took her for a quick spin around the block. I started to have second thoughts because she looked pretty nice with the wheels that I already have on her. I listed the new (used) wheels for sale on craigslist and since I haven't sold them yet, I'm not so sure I should sell them. I need some opinions. The moons look "old school" and still "Hot-Roddy" but the aluminum wheels look more "Street-Rod-ish". The truck has a Chevy engine and driveline, plus power windows so I'm past resurecting the original stock look but I just can't decide which ones to roll with.

Here's how she looks now:

...and here's a depiction of how the truck would look with the wheels I bought:

HELP! I'm confused!

That's a tough one...I'm leaning towards your new look. Both look pretty good!

My vote is for the moons. The other wheels are nice, but the truck is missing something with them. And I can't put my finger on it. The rear wheel just has a ton more character with the moons.

Both look great in my opinion but I to am leaning towards the baby moons, something about the old school look on your truck.
You can't lose either way!

Those venturas are on the F1 in my avatar, and it was what drawn me to getting the F1 I have. I think they look awesome. That said, since your truck is black, with more chrome going on, the moons seem to fit it better, IMO. If the moons are on original wheels with bias ply tires, I'd keep them for the local car shows, but I'd put the venturas w/radials on for driving. Who says you can't have both?

EDIT: here's the pic, and ironically, I'm going with moons on mine as well, if it ever gets done.

Hey thanks for that photo! (mine is photo-shopped, I haven't seen one with those exact wheels before).

lol Dick re keep the hood closed... I too vote moons. I chose to go baby moons instead of Ford script even though I'm trying for "very close to stock"... I did opt to leave off beauty rings though - from pics I have seen and my grandad's recollection beauty rings were for show truck beauty queens and cars. A little ways to go on my project but getting close. I just see something in the old moons that says class and style you can't find in any modern wheel.
