Ay whoever was posting about the livestock trailers a few pages back. . .

Listen here buddy, I am in training to run hogs. Being in the barns is the easy job. Now Im sure you were better than the guy I am about to describe. . . But anyhow, this guy couldnt run hogs to save his life. Either they were jammed up, or he was trying to run 2 decks worth into one. So he would run enough in there for me to run my cut right? I would latch the gate, turn around, and the ******* had run 2 more cuts in behind me. I walk out, with most of the pigs cuz what else am I supposed to do, he comes back around that corner cussin me off like I just released the zombie virus. "YOU CANT LET THOSE HOGS BACK OFF THE TRAILER!" and a bunch of other stuff I wont type. . . This guy had been on the job maybe a week, and you could tell. It was only my 3rd or 4th time doing it and I could run them without using a hotshot. Anyhow, I said something to somebody in charge, and they sat around the corner out of his sight and I let him run on to me again, didnt see him for the rest of the day

So then they bring these 2 Mexicans out, real thick accents. Couldnt understand a word they said. I ran better with those guys than the rookie. They actually caught on, and when I would run my cuts, they would stand at the back of the trailer and block them from running back out until I could come over there and keep em in myself. And even then, its hard to scare the ones back into the trailer without scaring the ones that you are trying to get into the trailer. . . Its a lot of fun. . .

Good story ,hogs are smarter than most humans , and Cattle , but getting in between them all on a load and they will hurt and possibly eat you, those needle teeth don't feel good on the calf, I usually run about a dozen at a time , talk about digging a hole faster than a backco , you try digging with your Nose , I get them when they are around 15 to 20 pounds , I also hand feed them to bond with them , I can tell witch ones will give me problems as they get bigger, stay away from the big sals with piglets , they can be fast when they want to be.

Yes, I believe 7-8 of them were killed by tourists. Supposedly they gave the pigs liquor and beer that caused the pigs to eat sand. That was half the population! This island and "feeding the pigs" has been a family tradition to many a boater for many years. Some people are just ********

 

i was not aware what killed them, just that they were killed.
