None! Engineers don't get their hands dirty by doing actual work...

We get plenty dirty around here poking around explosions, collapses, grain storage facilities, burned up ag equipment, moldy houses, etc... However, if I want to do what I consider real work, I go work evenings and weekends on the farm. That's where my heart is.

no, engineers do not change light bulbs. this is a union shop, and that is an electricians job.

Every engineer needs to serve a sentence of five to ten years working in the building of whatever they will be designing. At that point, they will either try to avoid causing difficulty, or they will have an excuse for their sadistic designs.
I seriously believe Dodge engineers had their girlfriends stolen by mechanics, I have never worked on vehicles that seemed so intentionally poorly designed. Stupid stuff like making sure to not deburr edges, or grind off casting flash, or give enough room for bolts to come out.
