You know - one of the truly diamond things about the Isetta was that you could pull straight in to the curb and step right out of the front of the car.

Parking issues? What are those???

What is interesting - here is the absolute most high-end machine imaginable, the Bugatti Veyron down at the track. For stock - 140 mph seems to be it

My thinking here is unavoidable - if a MINI COOPER can eclipse the speed of a Bugatti Veyron in the quarter mile than what is the point of all of the glitter and extra moving parts? The MINI was far less expensive to set up.

YOU BE THE JUDGE, which would you rather pay for?

*and ultimately, how much may be possible?

It takes a lot more energy to drive a larger mass to high speed

Yes it is, some pole dancers are real athletes with a lot of skill and they deserve our praise, stares, hoots, solutes, and money carefully tucked in their G-string.

Stretch it out to a half mile or mile and the difference will be seen. The Bugatti isn't a sprinter, it's a distance runner.

I think the interesting part about the veyron is its top speed was a 3mph difference on both passes. Difference being the launch control/traction control and the sheer power. Like Ford_Six said though put them heads up and some distance and see what happens.
