Here's my baby. This picture was taken probably 15 year ago. The old girl needs a little freshening up but it still looks pretty nice.

She certainly looks great in that picture. Great paint job and details.

I added a picture of the truck I started with. I replaced about 80% of the truck. It was in rough shape.

What started our as a loose brake shoe keeper ended up in a complete overhaul of the front end. The more I disassembled the more problems I found. Along the way I developed some new skills, like how to hand ream king pin bushings. After obtaining replacement parts including a stop at Posie's in Hummelstown, PA for a set of dual-flex springs to replace the special 10 leaf that were on the front, the truck now sits a little over 2" lower.

Next job be to replace the rear 13 leaf springs.

Three photos of Gertie being resurrected after sitting for over 13 years. While the paint is virtually gone, and the fenders are pretty well rotted, the cab, frame, and suspension are still sound. The truck is bone-stock original with a heavy duty 3-speed tranny, 239 flat eight, and Ford Fresh Air heater.
