I assumed you were a troll given that your first post was a Ford bashing/going back to GM thing, forgive me if thats not correct. If you are for real, stop down the next forum below this one, for the 04-08 F150s. This is for the 09-up. Different trannies. Did you not get some kind of warranty with the rebuild? Good luck to you, hope it works out.

Thanks George.
I have heard of many problems with them locally. 4R75 in those I believe. Usually it is the engines that are troublesome if a 5.4L with spark plug and cam phaser issues.

not a troll just an owner tryning to see if anybody else has had the same problem and what would you feel like if you put 2 trannys and a rear in with less than 55000m this truck is used for personal use only and well taken care of

Again, I apologize but surely you can understand we get our fair share of people that come here with 1 or 2 posts, stir up the pot, then just disappear. Hopefully someone here can be of assistance. Welcome to FTE!

Sorry to hear of your issues. Owned the truck since new? I would assume so since you had work done to it at 15,000 mls. If I owned something that had to have the major things done to it such as yours with the limited miles on it, I would be suspect of the product as well. I would like to say that this is not the norm for these trucks as I don't read of problems like yours that often, and that you just got a bad one from the bunch, but I know that is of no comfort for you to hear. I must have gotten one of the really well built ones from the factory as the only "major" things I had to have fixed in the beginning or with low mileage on it at the time were ball joints and a leaking rear axle seal, which, as it turned out, wasn't a very difficult or costly repair (did it myself) both being done at around 30,000 miles or so. I now have 195,000 miles on it and I am hopefully going to pick it up today from getting the transmission rebuilt. I use it as a work truck and it is my daily driver and I don't baby it, though at the same time I don't abuse it. I feel I have taken very good care of it, which is why it has been so dependable for me and is a good, strong running like a top type of vehicle. I have been a Ford man all my life and wouldn't have it any other way. I have owned and maintained other makes of vehicles, and this truck is by far the best I have ever owned or driven, even compared to some of the other Fords I have owned and I would gladly purchase another one, though probably not a used one since you wouldn't really know how it would be treated or maintained.

I do wish you luck and hope that you do not have to suffer any more "headaches" with your truck. I know most of us hate to hear of anyone having to go through what your dealing with, no matter what kind of make or model vehicle it is
