Any ideas on how difficult it would be to replace my 60/40 bench seat on 96 f-250 super cab with powered bucket seats from 99-07 FORD F250?

3 you dont have a 60-40. You could have one of 3 choices. A 40-20-40, split bench, or buckets

I've searched but so far not finding what I'm looking for. Hopefully u might know. I have found a sweet deal on some captain's buckets from a 2003 Expedition. If the seat brackets on the buckets don't match up to my F250 holes, can I just drill new holes and mount the buckets?
I've never added different seats to a rig and don't know if just drilling new holes for the bolts and nuts would be safe.
Any thoughts?

If the holes dont line up, then drill appropriate sized holes through your floor and make sure that your seats line up the way you would like. Then tack weld a washer on the underside of the truck to increase support, because if you hit something you wouldn't want your seat to rip out of the floor. Then put a bolt and nut through, tighten them down, and make sure your seatbelt ends up where you want it. Thats about all there is too it. Oh and i suppose if you really wanted to make it easier on yourself, you could weld the nut to the washer so you dont have to have someone hold a wrench on the nut when you tighten.

An update about my seat replacement project: I took a close look at my 40/20/40 front seats in my 96 f250 extended cab and discovered the job will be more difficult than I figured. The floor of the truck has quite a hump where it passes over the tail of the transmission, etc. Ford has mounted the seats on a clever assortment of shaped metal supports that follows the contours of the cab floor and creates a flat platform for the seat tracks. It means I can't simply bolt on new seats to the floor. That narrows down the availability of seats. I've heard that seats from late 80s to 99 f150, 250, 350 extended cab will work. So I continue the hunt!
