I just thought I'd see if anyone is using the Amsoil dual filtration on their 6.4 Diesel, with the method shown here AMSOIL Bypass Oil Filter for Ford 6.0L & 6.4L PowerStroke Diesel?

I have the used the dual filtration on my 7.3 for many years with great results, but may be 'upgrading' to the 6.4, and I thought I'd see how well it's working out for those using it?

 

The BMK21 is recommended for the 6.4L. However the dual will work, it's just over kill IMO.

I know a few people running them. Some see benefits, some don't. Either way, it can't possibly hurt anything. Cheap insurance if you ask me. I'm getting ready to order mine.

 

It appears to me you replace the cap but still use the OEM filter in it's orginial location. As long as the Amsoil cap is the same measurements of the original then I'd consider this.

One thing though is service interval. I still recommend sticking with the 5K oil changes unless you can verify no fuel dillution.
