Where to get wire to build engine harness
I am currently getting all my parts together to do a mass air conversion on my 92 F150 with a 5.0. All I have left is the wiring. I have a spare engine harness from another speed density truck and was thinking about building my own harness. Where is a good place to get some wire so I can build the new injector wiring for my truck. I have been looking for a harness from a mass air truck but havent had much luck. On my truck there is a large square connector plug mounted close to the fuse and relay block over the fender well that my current harness plugs into and then goes on to the ecu. Do the mass air trucks have this square plug? Or what would I need from the other truck if I found one?
Thanks

You can get the connector(and wiring) parts you need at RJM Injection Tech — Welcome
Note that you will have to add wiring between that block connector by the fuse box and the computer as well, the lines for sequential injection and the MAF meter don't exist in that portion of the SD harness either.

I noticed when I was getting parts from a truck a while back that the wiring for the mass air was run straight from the ecu connector and thought i would just try to build an overlay harness myself rather than use old parts that may be about dry rotted. And when I do I will most likely just bypass the square plug and go staight to the ecu. But I have everything I need except the connectors and wiring now so there is light at the end of the tunnel.

You could ask folks here in your thread for the part number on the various connectors that you need (they all have part number on them), then go here if you want to buy, or see if they have em.

I have a spare speed density harness so I have all the injector connectors. After that I believe all I will need is the mass air and I can get it at RJM. But then again I might just buy myself the mass air overlay harness for 200 for Christmas. I am not in a hurry to work in the cold so most of the installation wont be until march at the earliest anyhow. I just want to have the leg work done.
Thanks again
