EDGE ez module

Hey guys. Probablly another dumb question for a newbie. My truck has what was originally thought by me to be an EDGE programmer. Upon more research I found out that it is an EDGE EZ module. Model 10200. It connects on to the ICP. I read the "read first" about EDGE programmers but my question is this:

Does this affect my PCM like what was disscussed on the "read first" threads?
Or is a programmer and an EZ module two different things? My thoughts are that there different and dont affect the PCM at all, but just want to hear it from the experts.

If it is tied into the PCM, if I disconnect it will the PCM go back to stock program , or do I have to get it reset?

And finally if I leave it connected will it cause damage?

Thanks again ahead of time.

Never mind. I think I figured it out. My initial thoughts were correct. It has no affect on the PCM.

On a side note. I am selling an EDGE ez module if anyone wants one. lol. I need the money for a chip.

EDGE EZ huh? Looks to me like a $300 version of the 10K mod. That thing probably won't damage your PCM, but it won't give you near the performance that you will see with a good chip and a set of programs from any of the guys listed in the EGDE Programmer thread. I'll give you $20 for it.

Yeah but that $20 has $18 in it for the name and only $2 for the product. Yours would have to say EDGE in great big obnoxious lettering as well.

I bought the truck and it had it installed already. Im glad I didn't waste $250 on it like what it was originally going for. Goes to show you, you really have to shop around before buying a product to find out what it really is.
