Supposed to drop into the teens next week here in Western Missouri. Not looking forward to it...but I know the truck won't have an issue.

Those Marinco plugs are pretty cool, though I'd rather put it in a RanchHand Legend...figure it would blend in a little better and more protection. Maybe after I finish paying off the truck (only 4 payments left) I'm going to save up for a Legend. Stock front bumpers aren't 8-point buck resistant. Been down that road twice now

Yes going to try to get this all installed before then. Maybe you need to look into an armored E350?

Hey Zhilton nice work paying off the truck, I hate payments.

Ed, I have several older Tenders, but I specifically started buying the Plus ones when I put Sears Platinums (Odysseys) in my 7.3 truck, and my boat. I still have Interstates in my 6.0, and just recently removed the hard wired Tender and wired in a Tender Plus. AGM's are coming for my 6.0, and they say the Plus are the only ones to use on them.

Thanks, but I haven't paid it off yet. Let alone got the title in hand. Trying to talk my wife into saving some serous $$$ for a 2014 GT500 since we'll be paying the truck off 6 months early. She said only if she can pick the color and it's her's to drive

Ok, I'll bite. What are AGM batteries? Not that I'm going to jump on a set...I've been very happy with the 750CCA Motorcrafts.

I have reg batteries in my bikes & just went in the garage to check them. Both have been hooked up to the transformer type battery tender junior I think they are. Ones at 13.0 & the other at 12.85 floating. AGM should float between 13.2 & 13.8 depending on the manufacture. Talked with Battery Minder on the phone today. This is their newest latest & greatest for AGM batteries.

Shane, My float voltage dropped to 12.2 and took my FICM with them.

That was my original concern. I may pull the trigger on the batteryminder.

On a different note, my ficm still hasnt been delivered. I am starting to sweat a little. Wandering if it got stolen off the porch.... If so, somebody is going to be disappointed when they open the box....

I like the Pulse Desulfation of the Minder... If it actually works. I'm not sure Deltran claims that with the Tenders.

Im about to pull the trigger on one myself but I'm worried about it not being solid state like the battery tender you mount under the hood. I guess Battery Tender fill theirs with a gel to keep out moisture, heat, & help with vibration. The Minder does not have this feature. Its intended for bench use according to their website. I guess we would have to mount it in the cab drivers side firewall?? The Tender does have more features but I'm not sure yet.

Hmmmmm Ed, that does that does kind of concern me as well. Even mounted inside the cab it would have some vibration abuse that would obviously be more than parked on a workbench.

The Tenders are pretty tough, I know that.

I've had few long telephone conversations with the guys at Deltran. If you keep your batteries hooked up to a float charger like the Deltran Battery tender, your batteries will not sulfate in the first place.

Deep cycling batteries causes sulfation. I've used standard type battery charger with desulfation option to sucessfully bring two group 65 batteries to life for about six months.

Desulfation should not be used routinely,. It's a process for dying batteries.
