My 2001 Bullitt that ran a best of 11.98 on fats/skinnies (5.0 stroker, 10.8:1 CR, ported heads, cams, long tubes, 4.10's) runs Magnaflow. They never rust out, they are STAINLESS STEEL. My biggest selling point. It's got drag launch springs on it, that's why it looks like a 4x4!

I got a 96' OJ bronco with long tube heads leading to true duals on my truck, bends outside the frame then exits before the truck. It's thrush tubes with thrush mufflers and it sounds nice when I get into it BUT i don't know if I will be able to put my front driveshaft back in without some tweaking to the exhaust system. Sounds nice but for 4x4 purposes it was a horrible idea especially because I had to eliminate my EGR piping from the old exhaust. I think I'm going to get shortie heads and run a y-pipe with high flow cats and new muffler.

Thats an interesting configuration...I seen a 90 with 1in2out that wrapped under the frame and came back up to 90 out right in front of the rear tires, the left side bent over the driveshaft and then wrapped under the frame rail.

I believe mine wraps under the front drive shaft then under the frame and follows it til it angles out in front of the rear tire.

Best bet is single in and dual out in oem direction. Might up to 3 inch pipe though. Get the dual out so I can still get the look of dual exhaust. Probably still with the flowmasters super 40s.

Incredible... so much concern put forth over audio signature and flow so far down the system that it has little effect on performance unless is significantly restricts flow that far from the source and the muffler is strictly an audio signature modifier unless its of such a terrible design that it causes the aforementioned flow restriction.

Guess the noise my vehicle makes is of more concern when it makes one I don't like hearing. But then if its making one from the power plant that won't let you hear anything else, I suppose you won't have to be bothered with those pesky tell-tale rattles and vibrations that will warn you of impending failures.

It depends on the rumble of the exhaust though greystreak92. My truck is actually fairly quite when idling, coasting and cruising. But when you put your foot through the floor then you can hear it in the next zip code.

Yea, when I had the flow on the Bronco, It was loud idling, cruising wasnt bad until you hit the resonating sweet spot...or anything over 60mph. If I got on it, all you heard was the motor. I wanted true duals if it was possible to do and would be just as or more efficient. Once I installed my headers and started looking. I realised that even if it was possible...It wouldnt be worth it. $wise and performance wise.

Thanks for all the help guys.
I put 40's on mine...I did remove one cat...I can legally in my state (dont need emissions) plus my o2's are before the cats...also dumped the pipe out the side ride next to the passenger door. Its got a nice rumble to it and when you step on it, it is loud...I never realized how loud it was from the outside until a buddy drove it for me and holy crap..I could hear it from almost 2 blocks away.... In my opinion the 44's are a cleaner sound than the 40's...If you want send me a message and Ill give you the link to my youtube page ive got a view videos up of the exhaust.

a Cat converter is a federal deal not state so its still illegal.

dont understand why you guys are running exhaust under the frame then out the side infront of your rear tires. I wheel my bronco and that exhaust you have would get mangled if it was on my rig.

although it might look cooler

Still have one on it though...Think its just preference, thats what I decided, my bronco isnt offroad worthy yet so im not concerned. Once I get the money I will get a whole new exhaust system and it will be brought all the way the back.

Kemical. Like NewEnglander said and like you said... It looks really nice on the truck and sounds good too but my truck is nowhere near ready for wheeling. Its not a mall crawler though! I take it 2 tracking and through the mud pits around town every weekend with my buddies (In 2wd because my front drive shaft is still being fixed).

Also, I think I'm gettin rid of er' anyway. Not that I don't love bronco's! but I'm just looking for another one whether is a 78/79 or another 94-96 with the 5.8 manual locking hubs and on the fly floor shifter for the 4wd.

You can convert to manual hubs. However the floor shifter may be a bit harder, not sure on ours but on the dentsides, the auto hub'd trucks had a different transfer case, so it was a pretty intensive swap for that. But not impossible.

If you want I have a video of my exhaust in my build thread. Pacesetter Longtubes (so I could keep the EGR) and a custom Y into a Flowmaster 44. Dumped just past the rear axle. I also run a Magnaflow cat to keep it all legal.
