i was amazed today the FTE community is awsome

I have been having a problem with my truck for a while now and today i went and met up with Toreador_diesel from this site. never met him in my life until today. i told him a few days ago that i was having some issues and noticed he wasnt to far away from me. he said we could meet up and he would look at my truck hook up his AE and do some test to help me pinpoint the problem. after we did that i told him that i owe him asked him what he wanted and he said no way dont worry about it.
that doesnt happen everyday.
i told him look you did this for me you have the equipment let me pay you. he then said no thats what FTE is all about people getting together and helping eachother for free giving our input and paying it forward. big thanks to him and all of yall for the help.
Its nice to know people still feel that way.
Just thought id spread the word.... Keep it up FTE

Just proves that there are still lots of 'Cool Humans' left in the world, you just don't hear about them everyday!

Good to hear LSA the same thing just happened to me it really shocked me. Most of the time people are out for themselves but it seems that FTE members look out for each other I will be definitely be paying it forward when I get the chance.

The advice is free and you get what you pay for; use it or dont my truck still runs fine..
tim you mean this part
great seeing people help the guy next to them.
sadly I have to charge 99% of the people that come to me. but thats the nature of the job.

Cheezit, feeding your family by turning wrenches is a great profession. The fact that you will take time to get on the net and help other folks after wrenching all day just shows how interested you are in your work, and what a good guy you are.

Off topic a little. My grand dad had a lawn care company. He used push mowers. If someone died in the small town we lived in, he would go and cut the grass before the family came in. The widow women would get their grass cut for free for a year. When he died, we couldn't get everybody in the small church. He has a fresh flower on his grave all the time. Nobody knows who puts it there. I will never forget that.

He is a super cool guy. I met him a few weeks agot at a gtg. He was having issues with his truck at the gtg but spent most of his time helping others if that tells you the type of guy he is.

Fte is by far on of the best forums I've been on.

I'm curious though, what was wrong with your truck?

Happy thanksgiving!
