Air Locking Fuel Tank When Filling. '08 Escape
It seems the fuel tank on my escape may not be venting properly when I am filling up at the pumps. On average my nozzle will shut off at least 3 times while filling up due to fuel backing up in the line leading to the tank, and even more often when the temperature drops below freezing point. It sometimes takes me as long as 10 minutes to fill my tank from empty. Has anyone seen this on their Escape and know what the issue may be?
Note: It is not specific to 1 particular gas station where, at first, I was thinking maybe the pump was just pumping too fast. It happens at all locations I try.
