oil drain valve?

anyone use one of the fumoto F106N drain valves?
it takes the place of the stock drain plug.
Also there is extenders for pans that dont have a lot of room.
read up on it and it seems to have good reviews everywhere.
just wondering if anyone here is using one.
i ordered one. hope it works as good as i have read about.

if you don't think the sspring loaded locking system is good enough you can use one of these as a backup.

The PO put one on my truck. I LOVE IT! Stick a hose on the nipple and run it closer to your drain pan. Now if only changing the oil filter didnt cover the crossmember in oil...

I have wondered for quite some time how well the really work.

2006 F-150 FordSter - You say you use one. How well do you like it? Any feedback, good or bad, will help the rest of us on our decision.

Thanks for the info. Have heard and read about these over the years. Always been concerned as well about them hanging down and getting caught on something and getting snapped off. I bought two. One for my 18 YO 02 7.3 and new 19 6.7. Looking like wife may let me keep the 7.3 after all. It's still in ICU. Trying to decide what to do. Drawing the process out for sympathy. Looking like a total rebuild. Plan is to get it back running so I can hand it down to my daughter who is pulling mama's heart strings for it. That way I can keep it in the family and still maybe have it to play with in the future. So thinking my daughter will need a Fumoto drain valve for a cleaner oil change when she starts changing her own oil!

get the one with a nipple and you can use a hose to direct the oil to your drain pan.
