Sadly...Andy Rooney has passed. I always enjoyed his segments on 60 Minutes.

He was a cantankerous old fart.
Who could be funny as hell.

I enjoyed his commentary and his humor. I like this about him (from Wiki):
During a segment on Tom Brokaw's The Greatest Generation, Rooney confessed that he had been opposed to World War II because he was a pacifist. He recounted that what he saw in those concentration camps made him ashamed that he had opposed the war and permanently changed his opinions about whether "just wars" exist.

Shame there will be an empty seat at your next high school reunion though, Ken.

Wow. What a kick in the head I received, when I opened my browser this morning.

Andy Rooney dies, at 92.

The man that everyone liked, unless you were in his sights!!!
He said what he thought, and sometimes paid the price. Still, he wrote and said what he wanted, and what needed to be said.

I, for one, will surely miss his words.

Rest In Peace, Mr. Rooney. You will be sorely missed.

I loved watching a special on him and the show. The comments he had about it were very funny. He was one of a kind.

As a loyal viewer of " 60 Minutes " I always waited for Andy Rooney's commentary during the last few minutes of the show. He spoke his mind, entertained us, caused us to think, and reminded us we are all human. RIP, my friend........

Personalities - like ICONS, light the way through even the darkest parts of our lives. I knew I could always rely on Andy Rooney to at least make the rest of the news bearable - with his pithy notes.

I wonder what he'd have said in review of his own passing?

He recently called it quits at CBS, too, right? I wonder if he knew the end was near.
