Hey guys, while I'm not new to FTE. I am new to the explorer section. I have a 2000 Expedition that has been a trouble free excellent vehicle & now has 148,000 on the clock. We use this as out tow vehicle and for family vacations.

I wanted a Toyota Tacoma pre runner 3.4 liter V-6 double cab more than anything but with 150,000 miles you will still pay 10k-12k for a clean private party truck and I didn't want to spend this much.

Soooo I started looking at different vehicles & since I have always been a ford guy I decided on a 2004 Ford explorer xlt 4wd with the 4.0 sohc. It seems that Ford has worked out the timing chain issues by 03 so I hope I'm safe. It's super clean & runs great but have already found a problem. The hvac blend door actuator is bad, I have read up on it & will repair it shorty.
