Oh well, i ended up getting the Warn Standard Hubs... i can't find anything else around these parts, but if i do, i'll return these in a hearthbeat. I was misleaded by an ignorant salesman (not the same guy i spoke to later), the guy actually thought he was selling me Premium Hubs.

I had the Warn standard hubs on my 78. They worked great, I think the only real difference is the dial is plastic on standard and steel on premium.

Yes, they do look solid, but i wanted the best i could get my hands on... And this just isn't, but since i won't ever go any bigger than 33" i think they will work just fine.

Warn Industries - 4WD Hubs: Premium Hubs
All WARN Premium Hubs feature:
- 9/10 turn dial for robust engagement/disengagement
- Heavy detents for positive engagement
- Wave spring technology increases reliability over standard coil springs.
- All metal construction
- ZA Alloy dial with dual seals keep contaminants out

All that plus they have a limited lifetime warranty. I like the 9/10th turn to engage, my superwinches only have about a quarter turn. Plus they feel loose, but mine could be worn. I will def be going with the premiums especially since there only appears to be about a $25-$30 difference.

Does anyone have the Spicer number for the U-joints? based on the numbers posted by NW these are: 1310 U-joint = Spicer 5-153x / 5-260x / 5-278x according to this link: Part Numbers

Here's the Dana/Spicer catalog. I think you want page 194.

Thx! i thinks that's the right number, i wanted greaseable, but they seem to be obsolete, i would rep you, but i can't yet .

Hmmm Precision 377 is greaseable... i might be picking that one if it's equivalent in size to the Spicer.

Talking

Ok have all of my parts and ready to dive in and I found that the rear output shaft seal is bad as well and I have the ATF all over the under carriage of my truck. well it is good to get it all done at once and before the white stuff starts to build up.

And thanks for clearing up the D-44 questions.

Well, today i bougth Precision 371 U-joints. They where very cheap at least, and look sturdy, even bigger than i thought, they aren't greaseable, i guess i'll give them a go and see how they fare... Now the only thing missing is the AC675 socket for the spindle nut.
