Got a 90 F250 5.8 4x4. The cat was taken out by the PO. I have an adapter that will bolt to the 4 bolt flange on the engine pipe it has a 3" pipe coming out of it. I need to put a muffler and resonator type system on it because w/o the cat and a plain muffler it sounds too loud and crappy. I need it to be quiet as I plow at night and want to keep the noise down. Single tail pipe is fine. Has anybody put a later model (01-06) muffler and tailipe on an older style truck? I think putting a small resonator or glasspack in front of the muffler would help tone things down a bit. Anybody with ideas?
