Aftermarket Towing Mirrors?

Hey all new member here, just sold off my beaten F150 for a new (to me) 2005 F250. I have a few mods for it planned, I will post about them in some other threads.

Ok now that I have gotten way off topic now. My question is has anyone tried out the aftermarket towing mirrors? Personally I do not like the mirrors on my truck, they seem like they give me such a small field of view. But I have never seen the towing mirrors on a single cab F250, I seem them all the time on the crew cabs and they look great, would they look weird on the smaller single cab though? I am also worried about the quality of the aftermarket mirrors, I think there is a reason the factory ones are around $400 a pair and the aftermarket ones are $140 a pair..

Check out this thread, a few regular cabs with the tow mirrors in there. I don't even tow that much, but I wouldn't own a SD without the tow mirrors. I can't stand those little mirrors.

BTW...That's a nice looking truck you have there. Would look even better with the tow mirrors.

I bought a Kool Vue aftermarket mirror for my truck off of E-Bay back in 2009 when my drivers side mirror was damaged. You cannot tell the difference between it and the OEM mirror, except the heated logo is slightly different, and the mirror doesn't seem to get quite as hot.

I don't know if they are still around and if they are still the same quality, however.

Oh yeah that looks great!! Thanks for the link!

Now if anyone could chime in about the quality of aftermarket mirrors that would be great, otherwise I may start visiting the local junk yards for some OEM ones. I dont know if if they make them but some towing manual mirrors with integrated turn signals would be great and simple to wire up

edit: thanks for the info dchamberlainm you beat me to the post button

I can't speak for the quality of the aftermarket ones since I've never used them.

I don't know if the lighted mirrors came in a manual version. I have the lighted mirrors, but they also have power and heat.
