AE question
I will hopefully find out in a couple of months if I have been naughty or nice and will get an AE for Christmas. A question I have is will an AE work with an Ipad or not. It don't really matter one way or the other but would like to know before I bit the bullet and buy an ipad for my wife if it will work or not. Thanks in advance for the help.

I stopped by AE in Mesa a while back asking if there was a way to use my iPad and they said I was out of luck. I think it would be a tall order even for an iPad2 since you would need an app that emulates Windows and then find some way to upload the software.
I'll give Mike at AE a call and see if they are working on something but I don't think it's possible yet.

I will clarify, as it might be misleading, I have not attempted to run AE on my Ipad. That being said, I feel that I could do it personally, and maybe I should try, I have SnapOn diagnostic tools currently but have considered getting AE. It seems to me if I was running Windows emulator, I could easily load the Executable files onto a thumbdrive, SD or similar and load it. More trouble than most would probably want to deal with. Easiest solution would be to purchase either their 802.11G OBDII adapter and run it from your current I assume desktop, or get a cheap netbook, I picked up a Dell Netbook that I keep in the truck 24/7 for $175.
