Carb question?

I bought my truck and ended up changing the carb out. Well the new carb does not match up with the throttle cable. They have different ends. There is also another cable that goes down to the transmission, is that the kick down for the transmission? Are there adapters for these things? I can take pictures of the new carb tomorrow. The engine is a 351/C-6. The carb is a Edelbrock, and the one taken off was a Quadrajet made by Edelbrock.

Thanks for your help.

Since both carbs are Edelbrock call them with the model numbers and they will provide you with the correct info/parts.

If you have an Edlbrock intake manifold look up it's part number. Google search or look at it on Summit/Jegs. That will usually tell you what additional part numbers you need. Since the intake will be engine specific, the bracketry etc. will be correct for that application.

I ordered a 1483 Ford Throttle Lever Adapter and a 1491 FORD 351W THROTTLE CABLE PLATE KIT and I hope they both fix my issues with the carbs.

No, the kit looks nothing like that. That part would not fix my problem at all. Here are the kits I ordered.

1483 FORD THROTTLE LEVER ADAPTER
1491 FORD 351W THROTTLE CABLE PLATE KIT

Gotcha, you have a throttle cable, not throttle linkage.
