I know I read that Ford changed the back spacing in 05 when the went to coil front suspension and that the newer 05 and up rims do not work on the 04 and older trucks with out spacers.
Can I use some rims from a leaf sprung 2004 f250 on my 2008 f250? Anyone doing this and have pictures?
I am guessing they would give me a wider stance, which I like.

 

Aside from the backspacing, Ford went to 17 inch minimum size rims in 2005 to clear the new larger brakes. So, before we can say yes or no to your question, what size are these 2004 rims?

I just put 2011 lariet wheels on my 2006 but that doesnt answer you question. When i was buying mine i thought i read that 04 and up were they same, but at my age i cant remeber....

 

I have an 04 and spent money on 05 wheels. They did not fit because the Back spacing is diffrent. I had to by 04 wheels.

 

I am aware 05 and newer coil sprung Super Duty rims will not fit on a leaf sprung 04 or older without spacers. I want to know if 04 or older rims will fit on a 05 or newer. I just cant get an answer.

They are all 8x170 99-2009 are all the same maybe thru 2011.

 

The answer is yes they will work, but stick out a little bit over stock.
