Front leafs, the front is almost done just cut out the 2wd crossmember for the 4wd... and get rid of the 68 F250 D44 axle

axle from 74 4x4

I removed front axle from a 74 4x4 guy I bought truck from said it had new gears in front & rear. How do i tell what type it is?

type meaning gear ratio? If so can do a few ways...

this might help.. or
Pull open the differential cover and count the teeth on the ring gear and divide by the number of teeth on the pinion gear. For example, if we divide a ring gear with 41 teeth by a pinion gear with 10 teeth we find that the gear ratio is 4.10:1 (41/10 = 4.10).
