06 keyless keypad

I know it's been asked before but I haven't seen a definative answer and I have searched the forum. Has anyone sucessfully added a wired oem keyless keypad to a 2006 expedition. I have an XLT without the keypad. I have seen them on other trucks. Is the wiring in the door already? This is one option I would like to have if possible. Thanks

you can remove the door trim and see if the wiring is there, otherwise probably easier to use a wireless keypad . i am thinking of doing this also
ford part for the wireless keypad is # 7l2z-14a626-ba

I suggest that you just buy a "Hide-A-Key" magntic box and hide a spare key where you can find it. I have the key pad on several vehicles and never use it because I have my remote with me. If you lose your keys you can find your spare and get home and with the PAT system you will need a coded key, so you might as well have one stashed on the vehicle some where.

i have a receiver hitch that has three tubes on the front of my truck, my surf fishing rack uses the outer two, so I a product called "the hitch safe" that i use in the center tube. it's actually pretty nice, but no where near as convienent as a keypad.

The good thing is i feel that it's sucure, the bad thing is because i drive on the beach so much i worry about it rusting and not being able to open when i need it. I am REALLY paranoid about losing my keys or locking them in the truck when i am out on the beach fishing, which is why i am also interested in the keypad
