Yet another E4OD question/problem

I have a 93 f150, 5.0, E4OD, 4X4. The trans has a slight hesitation/delay when engaging reverse. There is no slipping or hard shifts in any gear. Reverse works as it should but the delay into reverse is driving me nuts. The fluid is clean and there are no metal fragments in the pan. It has done this since I bought the truck a couple months ago. Any ideas as to what the problem could be would be appreciated.

From having driven these things forever I can tell you it is completely normal, it is actually a safety feature. Where are you going in reverse in such a hurry? lol
