1949 Ford F-1 wheels
Can someone please tell me what the correct wheel size is for a 1949 Ford F-1 (half ton) pickup? I am thinking they should be the 16 inch, 5.5 lug pattern, but I am not sure what the correct width is. I have seen some for sale here and there that are 16X4 but that sure seems narrow for a truck tire. I need 5 of these pretty darn quick and I need to know the correct size for a stock restoration. TIA!!
Thanks, Will

Are you taking it back your '49 back to stock? I am running a pair of Dodge 16" that look really good on the back of my '49.
If your not looking at installing stock hub caps that is an aption. I can get those from a friend if you need a set? Yah I'm in Mesa, AZ... Down the in the Valley... I can keep my eyes open for a set with the inner nubs if your looking at using OEM hub caps...
Also we love to see pics of your project...

Those do look pretty sharp! I am going all the way back to original, already have the hubcaps. And the ol' flathead V8. How do I post a pic on here, tried it and I can't get it to work. BTW, I lived in Chandler for nearly 19 years until I couldn't take the heat anymore and moved up here bout 6 years ago.

Very cool, and great price too, I've found a few for my truck but cheapest I've ever found em were 25 each and most around 40.
If you guys were close by that makes it even better, as shipping wheels gets very expensive quite quickly.
Btw I've got a few extras I could let go if anyone is near salt lake that needs em.
Cheers

I agree. I finally found one for my spare at the Supernationals in the spring. Paid $25 for it and was thrilled to get it for that price. You guys on the west coast must have hoarded them all up.
