70's roll bar upgrade

Looks Great Man!
I do have one little concern though. Are you bolting this to the bed floor, or are planning on building some type of bracket to brace it with the frame of the truck? I ask because at least here in Mississippi, when we go wheelin, that setup (the former) would eventually reek havoc on the bed floor, through misc branches and logs hanging low over a trail. Seen on more than one occasion bolts that had pulled through the bed floor.
Obviously using common since when driving will go a long way in this area, so I suspect that this may never be a problem, however it is something to be aware of when wheeling.
But to recapitulate on the first statement. Your work looks good, I'm proud to see someone who really puts some thought into their design. Makes me wanna trick my roll bar out sometime.
Oh and one other thing. Don't know if you have thought of this, but roll bars can make great air tanks, just gotta have air tight welds.

Nice work! I have a couple questions:
1) is the left front foot triangle shaped? If so, why?
2) Can you post a picture of the jerry can mounted? I don't completely understand why it won't slide front to rear.
3) Does your truck have the STA superlugs on it? If so, how do you like them? I like their old school look/size.

The roll bar is mounted through the bed but is sandwiched with 3/16" plates underneath.
The left front is not triangle shaped. The left rear has a triangle shape but that's part of the spare tire mount.
I'll post a pic of the can mounted after I get it all bolted in. It has a ratchet strap through the handle from the top to underneath. I highly doubt 40lbs of fuel will move mounted this way.
No my truck doesn't have STA's on it. It used to it's just my spare. I ended up putting on BFG all terrain t/a k0's. My front two STA's split down the tread so they had to be replaced. The spare is one of two good ones left.

Thanks. It is heavily modified now. I removed the tire mount and some of the jerry can mount to fit a 40 gallon diesel tank in between.

Yeah I think I saw that in one of the other threads it looked good also. Did you keep the tire mount after you cut it off or did you get rid of it?
