Thanks for posting the pics Bob. This is a really nice 57 that needs a new home. If I didn't have a couple of other projects going I'd have bought it. Owner mentioned a price he'd been given to "junk it". Can I post that price here? I think it's reasonable. Way too nice to junk and I'll chain myself to it before I let that happen.
Here's what I know & correct me if I'm giving out wrong info:
Starts, runs & drives. Good to go. 13-1/2 foot grain box w/removable sides so it could be a flatbed. Cab has some rust but cab interior is very nice and seat has been re-done. Tires seem good but it is on the widowmaker rims (thanks Stu for the expert wheel analysis). I'm assuming it's the 272 or 292 engine. Let me know if you can tell from the pic.
PM me if interested and I'll put you in touch with the owner. This is a nice one! Don't miss out!
Rob

Forgot to add that it has a working dump bed.
The owner seems like a good guy and I'm hoping he's not seriously considering junking the truck. He was told how much he could get if he did so hopefully that's what it can be bought for. As we all know there's much less interest in the bigger trucks.
We've got a couple of Ford tractors and I think this truck would be a great hauler for one of those.
Amen to your "If's" Brother Bob!

Never too late to learn manual 95stepside! I drive Model T's once in awhile and if I can do that you can drive manual. I learned to drive manual in a VW Beetle long before I was 16.
Two FTE members PM'd me on the truck but I haven't been told it's sold yet. I'm driving by it every day now which is killing me!
