Engine question

Okay guys...I need to get a new alternator for my truck (see other post). I just bought the truck and don't know what motor is in it. How can I determine which motor I have in my truck? Keep in mind this is a question coming from a non-gear head, I've always worked on diesels and don't know much of anything about gasoline engines.

Way easy to change. Two bolts and an electrical plug. Took me all of 10 minutes.

Now would be a great time to upgrade from the 95 amp to a 130 amp from a PSD of the same year.

The stock alternator is just barely adequate in my opinion.

Don't forget to disconnect the battery and remove the belt.

You won't be able to turn crank by hand unless your names Bruce banner. the tensioner however should turn pretty freely...
