Windows are in, finally a chance to wash the truck. Insert wheel suggestions

So I finally have all the windows in, which meant i could wash and clean up the truck. I'm not really feeling the wheels (especially the front), and looking for suggestions. I love painted steel wheels with beauty rings + hubcaps, but I'm not sure it would look good on mine (since it's a little custom).

Wire wheels look classy or a modular wheel 17 to 20".

Looks good! I like the rear wheels. Get some matching ones for the front.

I agree with what you said and have to add some words for the minimum number.

I Like the rear window - mine is the small 1950 version. What have you done with your door handles? Nice truck - lot's of cool touches. I think you should spend more time with it & loan out your BMW to deserving people - just saying...

Previous owner shaved the handles. I still have to install a remote door lock kit, but for now I just push in the vent window, reach in and open it from the inside. Just have to remember not to lock the vent window. lol

I'm actually thinking about selling the M3. I find myself driving the truck all the time now, and don't want to drive anything else. Maybe it feels new since I can drive it more than a couple miles now.

Well it's a beautiful truck - I also went with bedliner on the running boards if that's what you have there. You would think having different looking wheels on the front/back would bother your eyes but I think it looks ok just like it is - seems to go together. Do you have a wood bed or metal with bedliner? I haven't decided where to put the radio antenna - your fender isn't a bad place. Good luck over there.

I was thinking about that too. That's the most economical option. You think I should stagger them a little? Or get the same size as the rear, just narrower?

Thanks Ben, I have a metal bed with spray on liner. I wanted to still be able to use the truck for what it is (so far shes hauled a couple loads of mulch, and commercial shelving). I know if I had a wood bed kit I would be afraid to use it.

What does everyone think these? I think they might look better than smoothies.

My vote would be same height, just maybe a little more narrow in the front.

My vote is with Doc! Those rears are perfect for that truck! Ditch the fronts...I don't hate the black ones, just REALLY think those rears are #1
i would go with the same diameter and possibly narrower on the front. 6" wide is my guess. how wide are the rears ?

Something to be said for the classic look of chrome steelies with a baby moon cap...here is my buddy's 56 with that setup, it has always been one of my favorites.

On my 48, I've got the chrome smoothies front and rear. Looks good, I think. 16 x 7, P215/60r16 front and P235/65r16 rear tires. I like the stance and the fronts don't rub. My plan, eventually is to paint the center of the wheel yellow, which will match the truck when it's painted, and leave the rim and cap chrome.
