Crazy question (3rd brake light on cab)

Quick and crazy question............

I have a 93 F-150 King Cab and was curious if it came with a 3rd brake light (on rear of cab).

Granted, I to have a light fixture up there, but it appears to be stock and older (dirty, old, stained etc). Its all clear and does work as a cargo lamp when I turn the headlight ****. It does not acitvate when the pedal is depressed (reg tail / brake lights do however).

Just curious.....really would like a working 3rd brake light.

Ill post pics in the AM.

Thanks

Curt

No...1993 was the cutoff year...1994+ has the CHSL lamp...

You can grab one from a 1994+ truck and make it work...They're different widths though....The bolt holes are like and inch or 2 wider for the CHSL light, than the cargo lamp....

You have the cargo lamp....Only comes on with the dome light....

The CHSL is about 2" wider, and had red lenses in the corners....Again...Robbing a 1994+ truck will yield whatcha need....

Just have to drill new holes in the cab....

Hello again....

A couple quick questions............

I was cruising eBay and ran across these two units.....it says :

YOU MAY NEED TO CUT THE WIRE AND HOOK UP THIS BRAKE LIGHT. (DEPENDS ON CAR APPLICATION)

Was curious on cutting what wire? Do I have to tap the brake light somewheres and run it up through the truck to the light fixture (ie removing headliner and what not.....just a bit foggy on it)

Just use some wire, splice it into the tailliamp harness.....then up to the 3rd Brakelight.....As long as you can get the applied power from the taillamps redirected to the 3rd brakelight, yer good...

It's cool man...Notta prob...

If ya want, just locate and pinpoint the taillight wires, and just take the shortest route.....Less wire, less mess...

Again, just like christmas lights......One starter lamp, then simply splice into it for the rest....

Damn..You're right....Hmmm.....Then figure out the wire for ONLY the brake.....Look behind the pedal at the assembly.....Shouldn't be hard....Just need patience....

Again...Haven't TECHNICALLY did this...Just know the jist of what needs to happen....
