Need some insperation

I have a chance to buy a '79 step side but I am having a hard time picturing a finished project. I have been obsessing about what I would do with a Fleet side and that paint scheme would not work on a step side.

I also have a '77 long box lined up but I think the guy wants a bit to much. Are the step sides harder to come by?

Show me some pictures of your step sides.

Step beds are hard to find in my erea. Very hard to find. We have one that we plan to restore and although we have extra step beds we plan to built one fron scratch.

Thanks for the input triplecreek. Where do you call home?

I haven't seen many around either, especially 2wd. I guess what I am struggling with the most is a paint scheme. The only ones I have found picture of were all a solid color and I would really like to make it stand out more.

You can always look to '53-56 Effie's. The beds are nearly identical. We all know there are plenty of those with hot paint. I know the fronts are way different, but it could help.

Good idea effi. I found a couple of threads on here about flair sides but most of the pic links are dead.
