Had no 4wd in the big white truck. Had a pretty good idea what the problem was as it happened last winter as well. Pulled out the passenger side hub as that was the issue last winter. It was good. Pulled the drivers side and only half came out. The hubs have a wimpy snap ring on the inside. The snap ring just slipped out of the groove. Put it back together and boom 4wd.
Programmed my two new door remotes as well. Local wanted over $70 + taxes for one. I picked up two on ebay for just over $22 delivered.

Went to get some ring clips for my transmission, normally a $2 part. Guy at Quality transmission finds one in the back and guy at the counter cracks what sounds like $2, give him a twoonie. Gives me a stunned look and barks, "I said $10" and starts going on about how hard to find them and they're rarity, Greggs has them but it's a 3 hour ordeal getting there and back. Gave him the sawbuck and will reuse one of the old ones that I didn't want to use, customer waiting for his car wasn't impressed either.

He was looking for beer money as he wouldn't give me a receipt, the money I spend on vehicle repairs goes against what I can claim for income so receipts are important for me. If I spend a 1000 I can claim it against my income if I have a receipt and it won't affect my medical benefits, no receipt and I lose $216 towards my medical. Its a pita sometimes but it allows me to work on the trucks and eliminate taxable income and keep my benefits at the same time.

Ian, this is Calgary, it is located in Alberta. While there may be people in this city and province that understand and realize that we are on the cusp of 2017, there are others that are still of the mindset that we are still in 1816 and 1817 is a century away. Most stores and businesses operate in a respectful manner towards their customers but some seek every opportunity to burn customers in some way unless that customer is of the same mindset of them.

No nothing new on that front John. The fellow that owns the wrecker doesn't want to get the guy that brought in the truck with the missing door tag in any trouble. Entirely possible if he did what I think he did with the door tag. I'll take the good cab with the crappy frame and stick it on the other frame. That truck does have a good box.
Maybe plunk in my 429 with maybe a nice 5 spd and go from there. I think I have the wreckers owner talked out of both trucks. He just wont let me have either until I get the cab swap done on the 75.
I need about 4 more me's to get all this stuff done I think.
