Mike Holmes

Hey guys, has anyone noticed that Mike Holmes no longer drives a 2010 KR, but in the latest episode I saw, he was driving a Toyota Tundra. Can you beleive it?

Who gives a rats ***....... I'm a real contractor and we always have a good laugh at what he does on his show....... The one thing i'll give him credit for is he has found a alternative stream of income other then building everyday.

Sells out to the highest bidder! They used to use only DeWalt as well. Not any more. He used to be in home renovations, now he is an actor.

And not that good of one. I only watch to see what obvious defect the knumbskull inspector missed. A lot are BS and not many would catch it, some w/b impossible to catch. As one that does a form of home inspections, I can say this unequivocally.

One thought, I wish I had his job. You come in with a list of problems, so you already know where to look. You have an unlimited budget and time period to make whatever repairs you deem necessary. You get very little if any input/feedback/pushback from the customer. They are not looking over your shoulder, complaining about delays or budget, or fussing over this or that. ....Anyway,,, so far from real world, I use it to escape.

Nothing wrong with a Tundra. The 5.7L V8 is amazing and will give the 6.2 a run for its money.

Driving a Tundra doesn't make him a cr@ppy contractor. Being a cr@ppy contractor makes you one.

I guess the OP point was he used to drive a nice 2010 KR F350 and now he is not. He is in the public eye and rightly or wrongly his choice of product carries weight. It is sometimes nice to think that someone whose motto is "Do It Right" would not be swayed by the almighty dollar. It does not appear to be the case here. But who knows for sure.

I noticed it - I was hoping maybe he just was doing a job out of town and it was a rental. I think I've also seen him driving a 150 at times. In his earlier Holmes on Homes I believe he was driving a Dodge. My guess though is off the screen he's a Ford guy!

I agree nothing wrong with Toyota, but the one he drove just didn't have any pizazz and looked blaw compared to his Black KR. He just seems to fit the KR.

Are trying to say that the KR is a royal douchebag of a truck? 8-)

What a bunch of haters, lol. If someone gave me a $30k+ truck and paid me to drive it...I'd drive it. I don't care who made it. Besides...he's Canadian. If he were a U.S. citizen, I can see why he'd push for a "Made in the U.S.A." truck. I'm not sure how a Canadian ditching a Ford for a Toyota is a sellout.

I've always wondered who actually paid for all those repairs and upgrades? Surely not the homeowner.

And all I ever noticed was his truck was black. Regardless of make or model, which seem to change a lot.

Ummm... and my boyfriend is the one that watches the show - not me. Nope.

Ford is one of Canada's significant manufacturers. Several models were made there for years. Ford Motor Company of Canada - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ever wonder where Ford's Windsor motor was made?
