Everytime I step on the gas my truck pops

I drive a 1992 ford bronco. I have a 5.8l 351w I recently had trouble with the time and then the alternator. I finally got everything figured out and now there is a popping noise everytime i step on the gas. Im not to sure exactly what it could be. I was thinking maybe it would be an injector, or and bad spark plug/wire. I just need help at this point

What did you set the timing to? Stock is 10* BTDC with the SPOUT connector unplugged. Mines up to 13* with no pre ignition, but I think I may have heard it a little bit the other day when I really stood on it.
Does it sound like spark knock? Is it a pop noise if its in park and you step on the gas? Or just a pop when you step on the gas in drive?

To clarify one thing, you did pull the SPOUT connector, time it to 10 BTDC and then put the SPOUT back in right?

When the shop timed my truck he forgot to put the SPOUT back in.

It depends on where your TFI module is.

But I agree in that this sounds like an ignition timing issue.

Yeah if it was a bad plug, wire, or injector you'd simply have a misfire, and you don't really hear those. Somewhere on here there are pictures of what the SPOUT looks like, I'll try to locate that thread and post a link.

Edit: You're not one of those dudes that fits my signature are you (doubt it, but just checking)? You do need some exhuast.
