89 f350 w/ issues

i picked up an 89 f350 w/ 460 gas/propane engine it ran fine on the propane when i first got it and woulden't run on gas past idol when i put the tires on it the guys at the shop (pep boys) saw that it was only getting 1lb of pressure at the rail. so today 5 months later i just installed a fuel pump and i havent tested the pressure but its runs a bit better but still boggs down when driving. the guys at the parts store (o'rillyes) say it may be the cat so i am contemplating cutting the cat off. what do u guys think? i live in NM where there are no "smog" crap i need to deal w/

you could always cut the cat off and see what happens. if it runs good, weld a pipe there, good to go. the stock 460 exhaust is really restricting anyway

so like 20 min ago i cut a hole in front of the cat (between the cat and the bolts attaching it to the exhaust)and the truck ran better but still bogged down i think it was because i was low on gas to i switched to propane and it ran fine got to 40 mph w/ no issues (didn't go faster because i was in a residential area). so my next step is to see why the truck over heats after an hour or so of driving. i have replaced the hoses, thermostat (it got gummed up so i took it out completely) and radiator cap. after the thermostat got gummed up i stuck a water hose in the radiator and or thermostat area and ran the truck until the water ran clear. i just bought a new radiator but haven't put it in yet i might later today. i was wondering is there any thing more i should do/ look at for the over heating problem?
