REAL world MPG
I am looking for real world...meaning the way you drive ...what is the MPG of all the different platforms in this section.
Also how do you drive...
not worrying about MPG (hammer down)
or very conservative
or don't think about it just drive
I have an old BII that is going to not pass emissions...
I will need to get something new...and I like the crossover type.
Thanks for you input

2010 Lincoln MKT (Ford Flex) is hitting spot on 16 city 22+ highway.
3.5 EcoBoost with AWD and this baby flies when the twins scream. It has matched all that Ford / Lincoln has advertised.
And Tim, I reck'n you know me well enough to know that I ain't your grandpappy's driver.... .....Shock and awe baby. Shock and awe.
When you floor this puppy....you need to be leaning forward.
The MKX / Edge has been getting great MPG reports from friends that have each brand.

The ECO BooooOOOOOOst is quite the engine. Twin screamers that put the wood to it. Entering the highway @ 45 MPH spank the girls and I hit 98 when I thought I was doing 75 or so.
When on a road trip my brother can sense when I am about to pass someone....he puts his feet flat on the floorboard and leans his head just slightly forward. Ha, ha.
Once I yelled "Tango Contact!" as a warning.... A few breathtaking seconds later he looked back at me, nodded his head, and said....."Tango Down"
Not sure about the Fords other than the F150 but, Lincoln has right now it in the MKT & MKS.

Brand new MKX today--250 mile return trip from Houston dealer, comp showing 24.5 at the end of the trip, running from 55-85. Instantaneous mileage was easy to get to 40+ just by letting off the gas. This is first tank, no hand-calc as yet. Traded in '08 Nav, I think my wife is really going to like it for size and quickness and the Navigation/dash technology is mind-boggling to an old man like me.
There was a lot left at 85--it is wasn't new, would have seen what it would do before I chicken out. Talking to salesman, he (lips moving) said he has had no trouble getting to 110+.
One of the biggest laughs available in the automotive world today is the 140mph speedometer on the Navigators--would be much better to top it out at 110 and spread out the spaces between the mph figures.

Tim, just came across this.... '08 Edge SEL AWD.....it is the wife's ride and she just drives it. She does not baby it or abuse it and with her normal back and forth to work (about 7 miles each way) the Edge will pull right around 20 to the gallon. It does have decent power and will get up and go. On a 2-3 hour drive on rural roads (no interstates) it will get around 22 mpg.
