And darnit, I don't even have any recent photos uploaded to my photobucket account! Oh well, I guess I just get to look at everyone else's perdy rides

Check out his build. It's worth the 2 hours to read through it.

We'd all enjoy seeing what you have accomplished and where it started off. Tell us about the truck and how you came into ownership of it.

this is where i am right now as i just bought this rig. immediate plans are a shackle flip and rearrange the front spring mounts to get some lift. found a straight and decent supercab for it already stripped and gutted and removed for a few hundred. gonna get that and set it to the side then next summer when i have cash saved up im gonna do the swap with them and make it into a 1977/1978 f150 (the supercab is a 1977) with a slightly shorter flatbed on it. mainly doing that cause i want the supercab and because the one thats on there now is real bad on rust had to thorw a board on the floo the other day as a quick fix when i almost put my foot thru it trying to get in. but i only gave 1800 for it and im happy with it..
this is it on its first day with me sitting by my other supercab (needs obvious lifting done to it)
side shot on the door the PO had the name Thumper painted on underneath the handle
the other side
and the back, since its been home i have made the brake lights both work and also put some black down over the rust on the bed to give it a quick facelift until next summer.

1973 F-250 4x4
Here is what I started with:
It's a 73 F250 4wd, originally from Arizona. (I'm in SE Michigan.) It wore original paint. I got it from a junkyard. I was very lucky, as the owner was very reluctant to sell a vehicle from the yard. It had been stripped of its original 360, radiator, A/C unit, trim, driveshafts, tailgate, fuel tanks, and most of the interior. Being in the yard, it had had parts stacked on it, in it, around it. And they moved it around with a huge forklift that he apparently loved to ram into the passenger side of the truck. But there was little rust to speak of, and I got it for a decent price.
That was about 6 years ago.
Now, it looks like this:
I'm excited about it. It's very close to being finished. I just need to finish up a little more body work and paint the bed:

Those are Mickey Thompson Classic IIs from Summit. 17"
Mickey Thompson 379481 - Mickey Thompson Classic II Polished Wheels - Overview - SummitRacing.com
I love the wheels, but they are raw aluminum and have a horrible tendency to oxidize with brake dust. If you don't keep them squeaky clean and polished, they get ugly quickly. To try and make these a little lower maintenance for me, these were shot with an automotive clear that is unaffected by brake dust.
