in my experience the optima batteries are very overrated. i tried one with poor results, warned 2 friends not to get them, and they too had problems. i stick with interstate bats and have no problems. long lasting and very reliable. i have had them in many differant cars with the same positive results.

My son has been using the Optima for a few years now. But, initially, had 2-3 go bad in the first couple of years. Current one is probably 4 years old at least.

I won't risk being stuck in the middle of no where using an overrated POS battery. That is just me I have had way to many fail on me and would never ever use them again. I myself only use Johnson Controls batteries. I normally get mine at walmart or through my supplier. Very little failure rate and easy warranty if you need it!!

Did a bit of research a while back and decided on a Die Hard Platinum P-2 ($190) I believe the CCA 930 I can't remember what the old battery was but I know it was quite a bit less. She turns quicker when I turn the key but the real test will be how it reacts with the plow this winter. So far so good though although I have only had it a few months.

I'm running a Yellow top with no issues. I needed the yellow to help run the intercooler pump, efans, twin 255lph fuel pumps, and twin fpdm's. Plus a lil 250watt amp. From what I understand the company did go through a rough patch a few years ago and spit out some crappy batteries.
