question about a scab frame

I have a complete 2wd frame for a 78 SuperCab that I was going to just scrap out, but got to wondering if I could sell it. I'm tempted to have it blasted/paint it and redo all the brake system, then try to sell it. Would it be worth it? Is there a market for it? Could I get enough out of it to be worth the worth in scrap plus all the work and brake components? Any thoughts?

I think getting it fixed up yourself would make it be more desireable but it would cost you a lot. Just my opinion but I think you should try to craigslist it for a few months. Then if it doesn`t sell cut out the crossmembers and ebay them to someone up north.

It won't really cost me that much. I'm redoing my 4x4 frame now, and it's not too bad. I think I've got about $150 in brakes so far, about $50 in paint supplies and got it blasted for $90. I could completely redo the 2wd frame for under $500. Maybe a little more if I replace bushings while I'm in there. I may just go ahead and do it all, then try to sell it. If it doesn't sell, maybe I can find another 2wd cheap and put it's body on this frame and have a restored 2wd and a restored 4x4.

I'd do the restored 2WD thing. I have a CS chassis that I can't give away. But I'm not scrapping or letting someone turn it into a trailer either.

camper special I believe.

I might have the 9" in my 2wd sold, so if I do it's bye bye frame, as scrap it's worth about $200.
