6.0 trans cooler

finally got around to installing my cooler. the v10 cooler is 7 1/2" high. i was able to get a new 26 row for free from a buddy of mine. i installed two 90 degree fittings and aimed them towards the passenger side. all worked well. my only regret is not having a tranny gauge on the truck prior to the install. i still need to install one.

How did you hook up the 2 90 degree fittings? Aren't the inlet and outlet on the 6.0 cooler on the bottom on each side?

Was it easy to install? I have this upgrade in mind for mine as well.

heres a picture. i first attached a 4" pc. of hose to the bottom of the cooler then i attached the 90, its three fitings....one is a 1/2 barbed fitting going towards the cooler then theres a 90 degree femal/female pipe thread then leaving that is a 3/8 barbed fitting going towards the tranny. double hose clamps on everything. it was pouring here yesterday otherwise i would have taken more pictures. both 90's are aimed toward the passenger side.

I'm only finding new 6.0 coolers for big $$ and used ones for $220. I worry that a used one will be full of chunks from the last guy's blown up tranny.

Good job on getting a free one and for posting the fitting photo closeups.
