Opinions on 5.8 f350 dump truck

Hey guys, I have a 95 f350 2wd dump truck. It has a 5.8(speed density efi) and auto tranny in it. The trucks been a work horse and we've had it for 2 years. The oil pressure is low, smokes when she sits idling for a long period of time. I think it's just tired. I love the truck and don't have the money to buy a newer one so I'm thinking about having a local machine shop go through the motor. So things I'm thinking of doing are
-gt40 heads
-cam
-roller rockers
-headers
-hi flow cat
-new exhaust

What do you guys think? The truck is used mostly to haul a 16ft trailer with mowers, but hauls stone, mulch, tows a chipper, etc. The truck gets it's work out. My dads trying to talk me into a ATK long block, but i like the idea modifying what I have. Just looking for your opinions. I've also been using the search and getting alot of info there too. Thanks

Dave

hows the rest of the truck? rust problems or the hydraulics for the dump. we have a 95 7.3 at work and put about 4 grand into the motor work but other things are starting to fail. if its your only truck i say go for it because going with new truck isnt always better. things still break and its more expensive

Being that this is a work truck, I think reliability is your number one concern. I would just do a stock rebuild rather than doing a bunch of mods to it.

The rest of the truck is in good shape, some rust on the dump body that I can fix, nothing major. Reliability is a factor for me, but I'm looking for some more power and torque. Would the mods I mention really decrease the reliability?
