it depends on whether the string is disconnected or broken. if it is disconnected, it is an easy fix.
remove the collumn coller behind the steering wheel, and look to see if the string is connected to the shifter pin.
if it is not, look at the end of the string,. there should be a loop in it. if the loop is broken, you will need to replace the indicator. the last one i bought was around 6 years ago and it cost $45.
