P1316 code & no start
01 F250 7.3 w/80k miles had been parked about a month, started, drove about 1\2 mile started missing then service engine soon light came on & then it shut down &would not start. Checked codes with a predator tuner and has a p1316 IDM code. Changed cps, tach moves when cranking, checked glow plug continuity on valve cover connectors, checked Injector resistance & wiring test from IDM module connector ( instructions on GB website) checked fuses. Do I have a bad IDM? or have I missed something? thanks

P1316 is just the high level code, it would be nice to know the lower level codes because they are much more specific. Can you get your hands on a better scan tool like AE or something similar?
Does your Wait to Start light come on?
What is your battery voltage while cranking?
Did you write down your injector ohm readings when you performed the GB test? Did you use this guide? (see attached)

Yes, the wait to start light comes on, & that is the injector wiring test sequence I used, that should have tested the harness & plugs under the valve covers, also I had a battery charger on the Right battery & jump pack on the left battery so the cranking voltage should have been ok. thanks

Stricky Diesel also has them. I think Clay is at some event in TN and there may be some delay in shipping.

IDMs don't fail by sitting for a month unless they fill up with water. Not sure how that happens exactly but I have seen threads on here a few times where that was the issue. If your IDM is dry, then I would think it's good because they usually don't go bad with non use.
Leaving diesel fuel sitting in your tank for a while will clog some stuff. I've seen it happen a few times already. Have you confirmed that you have plenty of fuel in the fuel bowl?
