Wiring harness 1966 f-100
I was wondering where I could get a harness or harnesses for my truck. Dennis carpenter directed me to centech wiring and they were not much help. But he did say something about K40-F harness and it is custom? I have no idea what that meant except it's a wiring harness for ford. If it helps my truck will be a carb. 302 no fancy stuff just need the lights and gauge cluster lit up and everything working properly. Thanks guys!

There are a number of options, if intend adding circuits may want to consider an aftermarket kit, seem to recall comments from member who went that route were favorable. Believe a few of the Ford part supplier's carry them; perhaps member more familiar with the kits can provide info.
I went w/ reproduction wire harnesses, they have the same wiring color code and connectors so it was a matter of unplugging the old harness and installing the new. Purchased mine several yrs. ago and the price for the headlight, and taillight harness ran around $100 ea., and the alternator harness ran around $50, those 3 are the primary circuits; unfortunately, last I checked, they do not make a reporduction dash harness. I removed the dash harness and used plastic ties to hold the various circuits (trunks) together, found it can get confusing, then made repairs, placed, and added a couple circuits. Also found it best to use 'harness' tape in reassembling, it's non adhesive and the only way to go. Purchase thru Mr. Mustang Inc., understand a few of the Ford part suppliers now carrry them. I was very pleased with the quality bought a set for the other 65.
