I had the original LTX M/S on a F150 about ten years ago and loved them. Very quiet and smooth. Excellent in the rain or on ice. OK in snow.

Looking at buying a set of 2011 take off 20" rims with the Michelin LTX A/T's on them. I currently have the Conti's on 18" wheels, and was going to buy new tires. Found a deal on tires/rims I can't pass on.

How are the Michelin LTX A/T tires in the snow? Rain/Ice?? Any reports. They absolutely have to be better than the Conti's.....

Don't know about ice yet but on rain they are excellent. I used to have LTX M&S on a F150 and they were the best tires I ever used on ice.

I think the Mich's I have on mine are the LTX AT's. If so (can't check right now but am fairly certain), they did really well on the snow/ice last winter. Like I mentioned on the first page of this thread, combine that with the traction/stability control, the truck handles great. No problems at all in the rain.

They're a really soft tire though, I'll be rotating them at every oil change (5k). I doubt I'll get another set after these though, wearing too fast for my tastes.

Thanks Matt!
Now, my truck is silver with dark tints.... I'm thinking white walls in to keep the entire package black/silver.

Any thoughts? For me, BFG's go whites out. Other than that, I keep everything black......

I'm probably not the best to answer that question, I think raised white letters on tires went the way (for most) of mullets and big hair bands.

Yeah, I hear ya. If I had a 70's Cuda, I think I would go straight for a set of General's with whites out.

I've got them on my truck. It came with the Mich. AT's, I changed them before taking the truck. With slightly over 5000 miles I like them, a comfortable ride. I can't tell you about snow, ice, or rain handling yet for we have not had anything except heat since I got the truck.
Regards,
Russ
