96 PSD from F250 into 97 PSD F350, anything to watch out for?

My dad called me this morning and told me that he thinks the PSD in his 97 F350 work truck just went sour, now we have a 96 F250 that the PSD runs fine in that we bought to swap in for when this happened, but I cant seem to find much info on the trans' and TQ converters, will the 96 motor have the same spline and work with the F350/97 TQ Converter and computer? any help, or other watch out fors would be wonderful as well....

Paul.

Transmissions and torque converters should be the same. Maybe ask the guys on the PSD page in the Diesel Section about the PCM.
